Cold Process Roofing Adhesive
5 Gallon Can
Cold process roofing adhesive is an asphalt roofing adhesive with a bonding strength designed specifically for cementing asphalt sheets together. Material cures by loss of solvent content through evaporation. When completely cured, the adhered sheets will not separate without delamination of the base sheet itself. Because of it ease of application, economical cost, and excellent bonding properties. Cold process roofing adhesive is widely used in a variety of roll roofing applications.
Roofing adhesive is designed primarily as a general purpose lap and ply cement for cold process residential and build-up roofing.
Roofing adhesive is formulated for cementing and sealing piles of full and half lap mineral surfaced roll roofing, as well as fiber glass and coated base sheets. It may also be used to seal the tabs of asphalt and fiber glass shingles.
This roofing adhesive offers the advantages of not using hot asphalt to apply the membrane and reduces the fumes and odors associated with hot asphalt.
Eliminates the hazards of hot kettle fires around residential and industrial job sites.
Application Directions: All surfaces to be coated with adhesive must be dry, swept clean, and free from oil, grease, rust, scale, loose paint and dirt.
Stir in container and apply by three-knot brush or with suitable spray equipment. Apply in uniform film thickness at a rate of approximately 50 square feet per gallon. Use only a sufficient amount to adhere sheets without residue squeezing out of laps.
